Your Bar-rel will change a little over the next year as the wood ages and dries further. The secured hoops will ensure it's integrity is maintained as it goes through its natural maturing process. The Bar-rel is coated with natural oils that penetrate the wood to provide a tough durable waterproof finish while enriching the wood grain to provide a beautiful low sheen lustre.

The Large Bar-rel
These masterpieces are a unique piece of whiskey history. Born in the USA as Bourbon casks, those solid oak barrel have been home to some of Scotland's finest single malts. Toasted/charred on the inside, these barrels have been used to mature the whisky for decades converting the wood sugars into the subtle vanilla and caramel notes distinctive to each distillery ... such aromas being released each time you open the door of your Bar-rel.

The Wine Bar-rel
These masterpieces are a unique piece of wine history. Born in Europe as wine casks, those solid oak barrels have been home to some of finest wines in Europe.
Naturally stained on the inside, these barrels are used to age red wine adding the sweet vanilla and spice notes of oak aging, the hallmarks of some of the greatest wines. Going through subtle chemical changes, barrel ageing adds tannins and unique flavours to the wine, such aromas being released each time you open the door of your Bar-rel.
